Alleyn’s School – Summer MyBand 2019

MyBand is ever evolving. This is summer at Alleyns School had the largest cohort of students from outside Alleyns School. It was Ivor Novella Award Winning composer, master guitarist, Eric Appapoulay’s first MyBand. What a pleasure. His expertise and energy made the 3 days very special. We had 3 members of the current West End School of Rock join us. Their schedule was pretty mad, as they hot tailed it the West End each day, and arrived back at 9.30 ready to go again. The development of students I have seen since they were 11 years old is a joy to behold. The classic tracks were No Roots, by Alice Merton (I had never heard the track until this summer!) and Better Be Home Soon by Crowded House. We also did a superb African jam!!
